Beer Goggles

I had some beers tonight.
Some friends over.
It's getting late though now and I don't have much to say.
Beer Goggles are funny though.
Thank goodness I don't have to worry about having them on or not.
I guess that's what happens when you're married?
Nah....I'm sure if I went out, I could find myself fond of someone who need not be fawned over. :P

So anyway....one of our friends was pretty drunk but I guess my goggles were on and I didn't even notice - I just thought he was being funny and cool - then lo and behold, he dribbled on himself. LOL
So, being a good mommy, I wiped his chin with his own shirt just like I do my kids.

Way to go beer goggles. Haha!
Too bad there isn't enough beer on the planet to make me feel good about a different obnoxiously drunk argumentative house guest that invited themselves over and is now staying the night. Bleh.

Making Lemonade

Just another friendly reminder that there is always the possibility to make lemonade out of lemons.

I'm having a bit of anxiety at the moment, I hope it goes away, but I suppose I can take this energy and put it to some good use.

I was watching a documentary on a Korean mask festival that takes place in Andong, South Korea and I realized one of my mainstay interests is that of the humanities, of travel, of various cultures.....I absolutely love learning about different customs, traditions, stories, human behavior.....anyway, so it got me to thinking about what I might take in school for my bachelors.

I know I've changed my mind SO many times on what I would take, what I'm interested in. Fine Arts, Culinary Arts, Music, Literature, and even Business just so that if I did end up doing crafts or some kind of arts, I could at least know how to make a lucrative business out of it.

Sure, I love to sing and am pretty good at it....but why haven't I pursued it with more gusto? I know once I get a goal, I totally go for it...so what is it that I love? Well, I love fun! I love travel! I love the language of the masses, the core of human emotion, being in touch with other people even despite language barriers. That's why I love the arts: theater, music, visual arts, dance, writing....it all makes sense.

Sooooo.....I was thinking, perhaps I could get into Humanities....major in languages - how I would love to be able to go to other countries and know their native tongue! I'll have to look into that. And with my studies, perhaps I can get better at all the different crafts I like to do - and have a worldy inspiration for my creations and maybe create something new! (That totally rhymes). :)

What Endangered Species of Fish Are You?

I'm Teri and
I'm a Hammerhead Shark.

As an extremely adapted predator, you use your oddly shaped head to increase your ability to find prey. Your eyes and nostrils are located on both ends of your hammer shaped head. Your vertebrae are especially designed for quick turns and maneuvering. Ranging in size from 3 feet to 20 feet long, you can weigh up to 1,000lbs. You feed on fish, crustaceans and especially enjoy eating rays. You prefer warm temperate and tropical water, and can be found swimming along coastlines and continental shelves in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans and the Mediterranean and Black Seas. You may even catch a tan while swimming in shallow waters. During the day you often swim in large schools, sometimes containing more than 100 fellow hammerheads, but prefer to hunt alone at night.

As true with most shark species, you are in danger of becoming extinct. Highly sought after, your fins are considered an expensive delicacy (used to make shark fin soup), your liver oil is often used to make vitamins, and your skin is use to make leather. While people are not legally permitted to catch you, you are often caught by longlines and driftnets, and rarely make it out alive.

Pack Your Bags!!!!!

We're going camping this weekend! WOOHOO!
I'm so excited - we haven't gone in forever.
Last night I had a really good time with my husband.
I missed listening to music and talking and other things that are none of your business!

Big smiles all around. :)

I was so dreamy this morning, that I made the coffee too strong!
ZING!

Oh well! Guess I got energy to do some serious packing!

:P

I Eatz Chocolatz

Yes.

I like to eat chocolate sometimes.
But many times there are chocolate candies around and I really don't want them.
My favorite is plain old milk chocolate.

Here is my favorite:

HOLY MISSING TWO WEEKS, BATMAN!

This here is a public blog, so I will be leaving out the details of the past couple of weeks.

For those in the know, then you know, if you don't know, you will never know so don't ask.

All I can say is I've lost about 10 pounds in the last month - 5 of them in the past 2 weeks.

However, despite my secrecy, what I WILL say is that things are on the up & up.

Everyone in my life is healthy, well I mean the kids have a cold, but hopefully that will go away in a week. NOBODY IS LEAVING where they are, but help is on the way and some of us around here are on their way to a nice 180. Good news is the news, ok? Yay.

I keep saying this to people lately, "A life lived in fear is a life half-lived," something I've said to myself for a long time. But it seems like I'm not the only one who needs to hear that lately. So I guess it feels good that I'm helping out others too.

I want to sign up for the 3 day walk for breast cancer in September - I hope I can raise $2,200 to do it! As soon as I get $90 to register I will be asking people like crazy to donate. I'll post the link as soon as that gets done. :)

I gotz lubbs, do you?
